The First of it's kind "Anambra Tippers Association"

Anambra Commissioner for transport solves lingering leadership Crises of Tippers Union.

Inaugurates Leadership Of newly elected Anambra Tippers Association. 

This follows a Successful conduct of election which brought various fragmented unions previously existing to a common Platform and Umbrella body known as Anambra Tippers Association.

The Election which took place at the state Secretariat, Awka , which attracted many members of the Union, produced A 13-man Executive members of Anambra Tippers Association, ATA.

 The newly elected executive members include the President-General, Prince Augustine Akaigwe, First Vice President-General, Chief Christian Ohazulume, Second Vice President-General, Mr. Ezechukwu Anumudu, Secretary, Mr. Joseph Akagbobi, Assistant Secretary, Mr. Godwin Smart Nweke, Financial Secretary, Mr. Daniel Mbonu, Treasurer, Mr. Lawrence Ofodile, Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ozoemena Okoye, Chief Taskforce Officer, Mr. Hyacinth Okafor, Assistant Taskforce Officer, Mr. Uba Agummadu, Provost, Mr. Joseph Nwakeze, Welfare Officer (1), Mr. Benneth Okeke, and Welfare Officer (2), Mr. Chukwunonso Okonkwo.

 While Inaugurating the Executive members, the State Commissioner for transport, Hon Afam Mbanefo, says " we are here to inaugurate you ,we congratulate the newly elected officers of your association ,before now ,we have various unions of tippers association numbering about 21 which makes it impossible to have a common front ,and the needed engagement from the government ,that era did not help anybody ,but breeds confusion and underdevelopment this election has announced a new era for Anambra Tippers Association ,this era will bring synergy between government and the association in ensuring development of the State and welfare of members, i urge members to continue supporting the Obiano administration in order to achieve more results.,congratulations once more "

 In his response,the Newly elected President-General of Anambra Tippers Association, ATA, Prince Akaigwe, thanked Commissioner for Transport, Hon Afam Mbanefo for taking the bold step which has solved age long lingering leadership of Tipper drivers, and pledged commitment of members in moving the State forward. The President General commended the State Government for creating enabling environment for the successful conduct of the election.

Recall that for some years now ,Anambra Tipper drivers have operated multiple association which has made it impossible for government to engage and solve genuine demands from the Association, using a common platform ,but the arrival of Hon Afam Mbanefo as Commissioner for Transport has solved the long existing challenge.
